Pacific Rim Pork Top Round Steak

  • 2 Boneless Pork Top Round Steaks, Cut Half Inch Thick, About 1 Pound Total
  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Sherry
  • 3 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Grated Fresh Ginger
  • 1 Garlic Clove, Crushed
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
  • In shallow dish stir together soy sauce, Sherry, sugar, ginger, garlic, sesame oil and red pepper; stir to dissolve sugar. Place steaks in dish, turning to coat. Meanwhile, prepare medium-hot fire in kettle-style grill. Remove steaks from marinade, discarding marinade, and grill directly over fire, turning once, for a total of 8-10 minutes. Serve with sautéed peapods, warmed flour tortillas and a grated carrot salad. Serves four.
